Initial check-up first. Everyone needs an initial check-up with us before signing up, so we know exactly where your teeth and gums stand and can make sure the plan is right for you. New to Rugby Smiles? Book your new patient check-up →

Included after six months. Appointments covered by the plan — check-ups, hygiene visits, your emergency appointment and your children’s check-ups — are included once you’ve been a member for six months. Any visits before then are charged at our normal prices.

Figures show a typical year once your plan appointments are included (after your first six months as a member). And that's before your 10% treatment discount — one white filling on the plan saves you another £14. The bigger win: plan members actually attend their routine visits, which is how small problems stay small. Root canals (£450+) and extractions (£140+) are usually the cost of postponed check-ups.

Only needed a filling? Same idea, smaller numbers: £126 with your member discount instead of £140. The 10% simply comes off the standard price list whenever everyday treatment comes up.

01Start with a check-up

Everyone has an initial check-up with us before joining, so we can see where your oral health stands and help you pick the right plan — the AirFlow Plan, or AirFlow Complete if you'd benefit from hygiene every 3 months.

02Set up your payment

Sign up securely online by card, or at reception. Your membership and 10% treatment discount start straight away.

03Included after six months

Once you've been a member for six months, your plan appointments are included — we book your visits, remind you when you're due, and there's nothing to pay on the day for included care.

Before you join

Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes. There's no long contract — the plan is a simple monthly payment you can stop at any time. We're confident you'll stay because it's worth it, not because you're locked in.
I'm already a Rugby Smiles patient — can I join?
Absolutely, and it's the easiest way to manage your routine care. Mention it at your next visit or call us and we'll set it up. As with all members, appointments covered by the plan are included once you've been on it for six months.
I'm new — do I need to be seen first?
Yes — everyone needs an initial check-up with us before signing up, so we know exactly where your oral health stands. It's £45 at the moment (usually £65). You can join the plan after that visit, and your plan appointments are included once you've been a member for six months.
When are my plan appointments included?
Once you've been a member for six months. That covers your check-ups, AirFlow® hygiene visits, emergency appointment and your children's free check-ups. Any appointments in your first six months are charged at our normal prices.
What happens if I need treatment beyond routine care?
You get 10% off everyday treatment as a plan member — fillings, root canal treatment, crowns, whitening and more (major treatments such as dental implants are excluded). Your dentist will always give you a clear written estimate first, and because we see you regularly, treatment needs are caught early when they're smaller and cheaper.
Is this an NHS plan?
No — Rugby Smiles is a private practice, and the plan is our way of making private care simple to budget for. If you're looking for NHS dentistry, we may not be the right fit — our honest guide to finding an NHS dentist in Rugby explains the local picture — but if you want gentle, unhurried private care without surprise bills, this is exactly that.
I'm on Denplan or another plan — is switching hard?
Not at all. There's nothing to transfer — you'll just need an initial check-up with us first, then join our plan and cancel your old one directly. Bear in mind plan appointments are included after six months' membership, so if you're unsure about timing, call us and we'll help you work out the smoothest switch.
What is AirFlow / Guided Biofilm Therapy?
AirFlow® (GBT) is the modern replacement for scrape-and-polish hygiene: a warm, gentle jet of water, air and fine powder that removes plaque, biofilm and staining — comfortable enough that patients actually look forward to it. Rugby Smiles is a certified GBT practice.
Can my family join too?
Yes — your children's check-ups are free once you've been a plan member for six months. Adults each join on their own plan (after their own initial check-up) so their care is tracked individually.
