Sound familiar?

Struggling teeth shouldn't be
something you just put up with.

Most people live with the problem far longer than they need to — cutting food small, turning down invitations, smiling with their mouth closed. It doesn't have to stay that way.

"My denture's loose — I dread eating in company."

A denture that rocks, rubs or needs fixative all day isn't something to live with. Often a reline, an addition or a better-fitting replacement changes everything — and meals out stop being something to plan around.

"We're a little worried about Dad's teeth."

Families often make the first call, and that's absolutely fine. We'll take it gently and at his pace — and anyone he'd like alongside is more than welcome in the room.

"I'm losing my teeth and don't know where to start."

Start with a conversation, not a commitment. We'll look, listen, and map out your options in plain English — with written prices and no judgement about how you got here.

"I'm worried what it's all going to cost."

Dentures start from £1,000. You'll have the exact price in writing before anything begins, and 0% finance can spread the cost. No surprises — that's a promise we can put on paper.

Like someone with you? More than welcome.

Plenty of patients bring a husband, wife, son, daughter or friend — for a second pair of ears, or just the company. And if you're helping a parent arrange their visit, that's fine too. The practical bits are covered: free parking directly outside the door, wheelchair access, and a team that's happy to go slowly. Just tell us what would help when you book.

Made here, made properly

Handmade for your face —
not a smile off a shelf

Your denture maker and your dentist, under one roof

Every denture here is crafted by Brett Read, a clinical dental technician who has been making dentures in Rugby for over 30 years — shaped and shaded to suit your face, so they look like your teeth, not false teeth.

Because Brett works alongside our dentists at the practice, your examination, your fittings and any adjustments all happen in one familiar place, on one shared plan — not posted between a surgery and a faraway lab. It also means we follow the proper GDC pathways: if you have no natural teeth left, Brett can see you directly for full dentures, and if you have some of your own teeth, one of our dentists checks the health of your mouth first — so your denture is made safely, on healthy foundations.

What a good denture gives back

Three things patients tell us afterwards

Eating in company again

A denture that stays put means you order what you like and stop planning meals around your teeth.

Teeth that look like yours

Shaped and shaded to suit your face by the person who fits them, so they read as your teeth, not false teeth.

Adjusted until it's right

Try-ins before the final fit, and adjustments afterwards as you settle in. Nothing is finished until you're happy with it.

Janet, denture patient

"They took time and care, and now I can smile again."

Janet P. finds dentists intimidating and came for her first visit in 2025. She finished her treatment with Brett and left this on Google.

★★★★★

"My visit was quick, painless and very friendly. I had three teeth out and a denture fitted by two very professional dentists."

How it works

From first chat to final fit

01A free, unhurried consultation

We listen to what\'s bothering you and map out a written plan with exact prices, no obligation. If you still have some of your own teeth, a dentist checks the health of your mouth first, usually on the same day (see the questions below).

02Made for you

Impressions and try-ins, adjusted until the fit, look and bite are right — often in as little as four visits over four weeks, start to finish. Nothing is finished until you're happy with it.

03Fitted and looked after

Your final fit, plus aftercare and adjustments as you settle in. And if anything breaks down the line, repairs are quick and often same-day.

Before you book

The questions we hear most

How much do dentures cost?
Acrylic dentures — partial or full — start from £1,000 for an upper or lower (both arches from £2,000). Chrome dentures start from £1,500 (both from £3,000). Implant-retained dentures are £7,000 for a lower on two implants and £11,000 for an upper on four. You'll always get the exact figure in writing at your free consultation before anything begins, and 0% finance can spread the cost.
Is the consultation free — and will I need to see a dentist?
The consultation is genuinely free, with no obligation. What happens next depends on your mouth: if you have some natural teeth remaining, GDC rules mean a dentist needs to examine the health of your mouth and prescribe your denture — sensible anyway, because a denture built over an unhealthy tooth or gum problem won't last. That examination is £45 at the moment (usually £65), and it can usually be arranged on the same day as your free consultation — one visit, not two. If you have no natural teeth, Brett is qualified to plan and provide your full dentures directly, though we'd still advise a regular check of your gums and mouth. Whatever applies to you, it's all confirmed in writing before you commit to anything.
Can I come along with my mum or dad — or book for them?
Of course — both happen all the time. Having someone familiar in the room often makes the whole thing easier, so you're more than welcome to come along. And if it's simpler for you to make the call and book, that's fine too: 01788 579 577. Either way, we go at their pace and nothing happens without their say-so.
Is the practice easy to get to for someone less mobile?
Yes. There's free parking directly outside the door and the practice is wheelchair accessible. If there's anything that would make the visit easier — a hand from the car, extra time, a quieter appointment — tell us when you book and we'll arrange it.
My denture has broken — can you fix it?
Almost always, and it's one of the most common jobs we do. Repairs start from £150 for acrylic and £190 for chrome, and adding a tooth to an existing denture is £75 per tooth. Same-day is often possible — call us on 01788 579 577, before 10am if you can, and we'll tell you honestly what's doable today.
What's the difference between acrylic and chrome?
Acrylic dentures have a gum-coloured plastic base — lightweight, natural-looking and the most affordable. Chrome dentures are built on a slim cast-metal framework: stronger, more secure and less bulky in the mouth, which many patients find more comfortable for eating and speaking. We'll show you both at your consultation and give you an honest steer on which suits your mouth — not just the dearer one.
How many appointments will it take?
Your new denture can be made in as little as four visits over four weeks: your consultation, impressions, a try-in to perfect the fit and the look, then the final fit. More complex cases can take a little longer — you'll get your exact schedule at your consultation, and we'll space the appointments to suit you — and whoever's driving you.
How long do dentures last?
Well-maintained dentures typically last 5–10 years. Your mouth slowly changes shape over time, so relines and adjustments along the way keep the fit comfortable — often without needing a full replacement.
I'm facing losing my teeth — what actually happens?
It starts with a free consultation: we'll examine what can be saved, talk honestly about what can't, and plan the whole sequence with you — extractions, healing and your new teeth — so you always know what's next and what it costs. Many patients tell us the plan itself is the biggest relief.
Do you take NHS patients?
We're a private practice, so we don't hold NHS contracts — but that also means no long waits: your denture maker and dentist are under one roof, appointments are flexible, and 0% finance can spread the cost. If you need an NHS dentist, nhs.uk has a "find a dentist" search.
I'm nervous about the dentist. Honestly, will this be an ordeal?
No — and you'd be in the majority here, not the minority. A denture consultation involves nothing more than looking and talking, nothing ever happens without your say-so, and if treatment is needed along the way, sedation is available. Tell us you're nervous when you book and we'll take it at your pace — and if you'd rather start with just a chat, our nervous patients page explains how.
