Start with your problem, not a product
Most people don't want "a treatment" — they want a specific thing fixed. Find yours, and we'll show you what actually fixes it.
→Invisalign or braces move them into line
→Invisalign closes them — or bonding fills small ones in a single visit
→Invisalign — single-tooth problems are often the quickest cases
→Composite bonding rebuilds them — usually no drilling, often in a single visit
→Whitening — or sometimes just an Airflow® clean (£92)
→Invisalign — relapse cases are usually short ones, then retainers keep it this time

If your makeover involves more than one treatment, this is the sequence that wastes nothing — each step sets up the next.
Invisalign or braces move your teeth into position first. There's no point perfecting the colour or shape of a tooth that's about to move — and straight teeth often need less bonding afterwards, because so much of the unevenness was position, not damage.
With your teeth straight, whitening brings the whole smile up to your target shade. Do it now — before any bonding — because the next step gets colour-matched to this result. (With Invisalign, whitening is already included in the £3,950 package.)
Bonding — or veneers — comes last, matched precisely to your new, whiter shade. Composite and porcelain don't change colour with whitening gel, so anything placed earlier would stay the old colour forever. Edges rebuilt, gaps closed, smile finished.
Planned in the wrong order, work gets redone and paid for twice. Planned right, it's one written plan where you see the whole journey — and the whole cost — before step one begins.
Let's talk about "Turkey teeth"
You've seen the headlines, and probably a smile or two that entered the room before its owner did. The fear is legitimate — so here, plainly, is why that look happens and why it won't happen to you.
The "Turkey teeth" look usually starts with healthy teeth filed down to pegs so oversized crowns can be cemented on top. Our makeovers work the other way round: Invisalign moves your own teeth, whitening brightens your own enamel, and bonding adds a thin sculpted layer on top. Your natural teeth stay intact underneath.
Ultra-opaque, identical, fridge-white teeth are what announce a smile as fake. We match shades to your face, your age and the whites of your eyes — B1, our whitening guarantee, is the lightest natural shade, not a paint chart. And if a shade won't suit you, we'll say so before you pay for it.
Real enamel has slight translucency at the edges and tiny variations tooth to tooth — and good cosmetic work keeps them. The compliment our patients report isn't "who did your teeth?" It's "you look well." That's the standard.
A smile design wax-up (£250) gives you a physical preview of the end result — in your hands, before anything irreversible happens. And if straightening is part of your plan, Invisalign's 3D software maps your actual teeth and shows you what's realistically achievable — a simulation built from your own scan, not an artist's impression. If the preview isn't you, we adjust it or you walk away. Nothing is cemented, filed or fitted until you've approved what you saw.
Already had work abroad that's causing trouble? You won't get a lecture here either. We see it more often than you'd think, and we'll examine what's going on and help you put it right — judgement-free. Just call 01788 579 577.
Smile design 101
"Nice teeth" isn't luck — it's a handful of measurable things working together. These are the seven we design every makeover around:
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
The line between the two front teeth sits in the centre of the face. Even a small tilt makes a smile read as "something's off" — without anyone knowing why.
The two front teeth are slightly larger than their neighbours and catch the light first. Rows of identical, same-size teeth are a hallmark of fake-looking smiles.
The edges of the upper teeth follow the curve of the lower lip — you can see it tracing along here. A dead-flat edge line is one of the things that quietly ages a smile.
Gum heights mirror each other side to side, with only a little gum on show above the front teeth. Uneven gum levels distract the eye more than tooth colour ever does.
Each front tooth is roughly three-quarters as wide as it is tall, stepping down gently in size towards the corners of the smile — never one uniform slab.
Bright but believable — B1 is the lightest natural shade — with a hint of translucency at the biting edges. One flat, opaque white is exactly what reads as false.
The small dark spaces at the corners of the smile, between the back teeth and the cheeks. A great smile fills its frame — a broad arch with just a whisper of shadow at the corners. Large dark corridors make a smile read narrow, and widening the arch (often with aligners) is exactly how it's fixed.
And the part that matters more than any checklist: a great smile isn't about "perfect" — it's the smile that makes you feel confident. Some people want the full transformation; others just want to stop hiding one tooth in photos. That's why your consultation starts with a proper conversation, not a shade guide — we take the time to understand what you actually want, then use these seven principles to design your version of it. And the smile design wax-up (£250) puts that version in your hands before anything begins.
Real patient · real result
A real Rugby Smiles patient: Invisalign® to align, then edge bonding to rebuild the worn tips — the exact sequence above. Notice what it doesn't look like: done.
How it starts
Tell us what you'd change about your smile. We'll examine your teeth, listen properly, and tell you straight which treatments would get you there — and which you don't need.
Every option priced exactly, in plain English, to take home and think about. No pressure at the chair, no follow-up sales calls. 0% finance if you want to spread the cost.
If your makeover combines treatments, we sequence them so nothing is done twice or wasted — and you see improvements at every stage, not just at the end.
