Keep your new smile
Your teeth are straight. Retainers are what keep them that way.
Teeth have long memories. After braces or Invisalign they drift back towards where they started — fastest in the first few months, but slowly for the rest of your life. A retainer is the difference between a result that lasts a year and one that lasts forever.
Your options, with honest prices
Essix retainers — £150 per arch (£300 for both)
A clear, slim, custom-made retainer that slips over your teeth at night. Nearly invisible, easy to live with, and the workhorse choice for most people after braces or aligners.
Vivera® retainers (by Invisalign) — £500 for three full sets
Made by Invisalign from the same scan technology, in a tougher, longer-lasting material — and you get three sets: one to wear, two spares in the drawer. Over the years, the spares are what make this the better-value option for most Invisalign patients — a lost retainer becomes a shrug, not an emergency.
Fixed (bonded) retainers
A discreet wire bonded behind the front teeth — nothing to remember, nothing to lose. Not right for every bite; we’ll tell you honestly if it would suit yours. We also repair existing bonded retainers.
Lost or broken your retainer? Move quickly.
This is the one dental problem where speed genuinely matters — teeth begin drifting within weeks of stopping retention, and a retainer made after they’ve moved will fit the new (wrong) position. Ring us on 01788 579 577 and we’ll get you scanned for a replacement quickly — even if you had your braces or Invisalign somewhere else.

★★★★★
“I booked in at very short notice, the communication is great and very prompt, all the staff are really friendly and welcoming and I was able to get my bonded retainer removed there and then during my consultation.”

Two ways this goes
✓ You wear it
Your smile stays exactly as it was the day treatment finished. A slim bit of plastic, a few nights a week, on autopilot — protecting a result you already paid for.
It stays in the drawer
Teeth start drifting within weeks. A year on, the crowding is creeping back — and straightening teeth twice costs far more than any retainer. No lecture; just physics.
