Invisalign® in Rugby · the honest decider
Three packages, three prices — the difference is how far your teeth need to move. Here’s the whole picture, with real numbers, so you know what you’re comparing before you even book a scan.
Most patients land here
£3,250
0% finance over 12 months available
Fits: mild-to-moderate crowding, a few gaps, rotated front teeth — cosmetic straightening where your bite already meets properly.
£3,650
0% finance over 12 months available
Fits: fuller-smile crowding or spacing, mild bite involvement — more movement than Lite without the full-mouth job.
£3,950
0% finance over 12 months available
Fits: anything — heavier crowding, bite correction, back-teeth movement. One fixed price however many aligners it takes.
Every price includes all aligners, professional whitening (worth £550), Vivera® retainers (worth £500) and 12 months of aftercare — and the price is the same whether you’re treating one arch or both. (Most plans treat both, even when only one looks wrong, so your upper and lower teeth still mesh together properly at the end.) Got just one tooth that’s drifted since your braces? Ask about Invisalign Express — small fixes from £2,495.
Match your teeth
These are the eight things Invisalign treats. The honest rule: the more your bite is involved, the higher the tier — moving front teeth is quick, moving how your jaws meet is not.
Usually Lite
Teeth that were straight once and have drifted since — usually the fastest fix of all, because they’ve moved before.
Typical: 4–10 aligners · 2–5 months
Usually Lite
A gap between front teeth (diastema) or a couple of small spaces. Small gaps close predictably; several larger ones need more aligners.
Typical: 6–14 aligners · 3–7 months
Usually Lite or Moderate
Overlapping or twisted front teeth with your bite otherwise fine — the classic Invisalign case, and the most common one we treat.
Typical: 10–14 aligners · 4–8 months
Usually Moderate or Comprehensive
Badly rotated teeth (especially canines and premolars) grip the aligner poorly, so they move in smaller, slower steps — often with tooth-coloured attachments to help.
Typical: 20–40+ aligners · 9–18 months
Usually Comprehensive
Upper teeth should overlap the lower by roughly 5–25%. Much more than that wears teeth down and strains the jaw — correcting it means moving back teeth too, sometimes with elastics.
Typical: 20–40+ aligners · 12–18 months
Usually Comprehensive
When upper and lower teeth meet the wrong way round — or don’t meet at all. Treatable with Invisalign in most cases, but always a full-mouth job. Severe skeletal cases may need more than aligners; we’ll tell you straight.
Typical: 25–50 aligners · 12–24 months
The honest bit
A cheaper package only saves money if your case genuinely fits inside it. These are the things that push a case up a tier — and exactly what we check on your free 3D scan.
🛡️ Our no-surprises guarantee: Refinement rounds are included in every package — on Comprehensive, as many rounds as your case needs for up to 5 years; on Lite & Moderate, two rounds within 2 years of your aligners shipping; on Express, one round within 1 year. Any further round is a flat £195. No lab fees, no penalties, no surprises. And at your scan we’ll tell you honestly which package your teeth actually need, including when the cheaper one is fine.

The question nobody answers on their website
It happens more than anyone admits: teeth don’t always follow the plan, and a case can need more aligners than its package includes. Here’s exactly what happens at Rugby Smiles — and what it can cost elsewhere.
Step 1 · Most cases end here
Around 3 in 4 patients need a refinement round at the end — a fresh scan and a short series of extra aligners to perfect the result.
Cost with us: £0 — refinement rounds are included in every package (as many rounds as your case needs for up to 5 years on Comprehensive)
Step 2 · If it’s genuinely more
If your teeth need substantially more movement than expected, the refinement round included in your package covers the re-plan — and any further round is a flat £195.
Cost with us: included round £0 · any further round a flat £195 (elsewhere £300–£500)
For comparison · elsewhere
On limited packages elsewhere, extra aligner rounds are commonly billed at £300–£500 each — sometimes far more — and some quotes exclude refinements entirely. Always ask before you sign.
Questions to ask any practice: “Is a refinement included?” and “What happens if I need more aligners?”
Why we can promise this: we plan conservatively. If your scan puts you near the top of a tier, we’ll tell you to take the tier above — or price you there from the start — rather than sell you a package your teeth will outgrow.
